The darkness of his work shoes easily stood out on the white flooring of the hospital. His eyes darted back and forth, looking for someone who would give him some kind of answer on what was going on.
“Asami, what happened?” He asked as he walked up to the only familiar face in the waiting room.
Asami turned around, taking her eyes off her son. “I don’t know. We were just walking back to the apartment from the store and then all of sudden Korra’s water breaks and she’s having the mother of all contractions. I told her that we should’ve taken my car, but no. Your stubborn wife demanded that we walk all around town.” She explained, her fear and nerves taking over her tone.
“Where is Korra now?” He asked trying to clear his racing mind.
“She’s in a semi-private room down that hallway.” Asami said as she pointed down a hallway to her left.

The summer sun was hot as usual that morning. Everyone was on the practice field at 8 in the morning on the dot like they were told to be. Korra was sitting on the ground tying her shoes and talking to some of the guys that she made friends with before the camp.
The coach’s whistle instantly caught everyone’s attention and they all ran to the middle of the field. “Okay everyone,” he shouted out so that all the people there could hear, “these two here beside me are your senior captains, Mako and Hasook.” The coach motioned over to the two boys standing next to him, both wearing football shirts from the previous year and gym shorts with their school’s initials on them. “These two have the most experience on the team and if you have any questions, ask them. Now, all of you will split and follow their orders for conditioning – seniors and juniors with Mako, and sophomores and freshman with Hasook. This camp is not
